Ebb doesn't collect anything. There are no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Your bills stay on your phone.
The bills you add — their names, amounts, due dates and how often they repeat — the payments you mark, your payday and pay cycle, the name you give a second income, your reminder time and your settings: all of it is saved in the app's own database on your device. None of it is transmitted anywhere. We can't see it, and neither can anyone else, because there is no server holding a copy.
Ebb makes no network requests. It doesn't connect to your bank, doesn't look anything up, and doesn't check in with us. Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself, by the phone's own notification system, and never pass through a server. Buying Ebb Plus is handled by your phone's App Store or Google Play app, not by Ebb — see below.
Ebb Plus is a one-time purchase made through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle the whole transaction: your payment details go to them, never to Ebb or to us. To know whether you own Plus, Ebb asks the store app on your phone, which answers for your Apple or Google account. That exchange is between your phone and Apple or Google, under their privacy terms, and none of your bills are part of it. Apple and Google send us the standard sales reports every developer receives; they never include anything from inside Ebb.
Only when you deliberately send it, and only where you choose to send it:
The app hands the file to you. It never sends anything on its own, in the background, or without you asking.
If your phone backs itself up to iCloud or your Google account, that backup may include Ebb's data along with everything else on the device. That is run by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us, and you can turn it off for this app in your phone's settings.
Ebb asks for permission to show notifications so it can remind you before a bill is due. The reminders are created and delivered on your device. If you decline, or turn them off later in Settings, the app works exactly the same without them.
Ebb doesn't knowingly hold information about anyone, children included, because it holds no information about anyone.
Because everything lives on your device, you're in control of all of it. Deleting a bill removes it and its payment history at once; uninstalling the app removes everything. There's nothing to request from us and no copy anywhere for us to delete — so export a spreadsheet first if you want to keep a record.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If Ebb ever starts collecting anything — it has no plans to — that will be stated here plainly and in the app before it happens.
